Denmark got the highest score in the junior mens qualifications with the total score of 59,333. Norway came second with 56,216, Sweden third with the score of 52,700 and the host country, Iceland, came fourth with the total score of 47,566.
Four teams competed in the qualification competition for the junior men: Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Denmark is the reigning European champion in the mens competition as well as in the mixed competition.
The members of the junior teams are all under 17 years of age. The exercises in the junior competiton have, in recent years, become increasingly more complex and the gap between the junior and the senior teams is getting narrower every year.
As said before, the Danish junior-men took the gold at the 2012 European TeamGym junior Championship. The team from Norway won the silver and the Swedish guys took the bronze.
